Bearing its original label, "Antonius Stradiuarius Cremonensis Faciebat Anno 1703" (the last 3 digits are handwritten).

Back: One-piece of broad curl slanting downwards from right to left

Scroll: by Stradivari, but possibly from a later period

Ribs: of wood similar to back

Varnish: Orange-red

Length of back: 35.6 cm

Upper bouts: 16.75 cm

Middle bouts: 10.8 cm

Lower bouts: 20.7 cm

Dated 1721. The label had been changed to read 1710 prior to being sold to Croall in 1888.
