Three musicians and their violins

Tarisio's Director and Head of Sales, Carlos Tome, looks at the lives of three musicians featured in the March auction

By Carlos Tome March 3, 2021

As with people, instruments too have stories. They tell of great romances and distant voyages, familial dramas, moving love affairs, and of course the great musicians who play and care for them. As they pass from maker to player, these histories become the legacies that we all contribute to and nurture. One of the great pleasures of what I do at Tarisio is getting to discover the stories behind the instruments we’re selling. This week, I’d like to tell you about three musicians and the violins they played: Čeněk Vrba, Arnold Sukonick, and Adam Han-Gorski.

There are more thrilling stories to be found in the sale. The online catalog posts March 3rd.
