Yoldi brought the violin to Denmark upon his arrival in 1800. It is certain that the violin was soon known in musical circles of Copenhagen as the Yoldi-Stradivari violin. The Yoldi-Moldenhauer violin was donated to the Royal Theatre in 1864, with the intention that it should always be available to the concertmaster of the Royal Opera Orchestra.
