- Dendrochronology report: Peter Ratcliff, London (2014) Dendrochronology confirms the latest ring of the treble side as 1727 and suggests the two piece top was originally in one single piece which was subsequently reduced in width by 8mm amounting to the loss of 5 annual rings. Significant correlations were found with a violin by J. B. Guadagnini in the Milan period.
