From 1980 onwards, this Pressenda of 1848 featured in over 40 recordings with the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields and several quartet recordings for major record labels including Philips and Chandos. The instrument was played alongside Iona Brown and Kenneth Sillito.
On speaking of his colleague's violin, Sillito said “[this] Pressenda was a constant companion for almost 30 years during my time with the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields."
