Top: Fine grain in the center, opening towards the flanks
Scroll: Slightly more flamed than back
Ribs: Wood similar to the back
Varnish: Orange-red over a golden ground
Length of back: 35.6 cm
Upper bouts: 16.8 cm
Middle bouts: 10.9 cm
Lower bouts: 20.75 cm

"In 1902, the violin makers Caressa & Francais attributed it to the Cremonese master's late production phase and dated the instrument to 1727.
