Signor Vettori sold the instrument to the present owner in the same year. The violin was featured in the exhibition Liuteria Italiana in Cafaggiolo, Florence, in 1989. A copy of the exhibition catalogue, in which the violin is illustrated on pp. 46-47, is included with this lot."
