Back: in one piece of maple, cut on the slab and with narrow flames running horizontally
Top: in two pieces of spruce of medium grain, broadening towards the flanks
Scroll: of wood matching that of the back, cut just off the quarter
Ribs: with slightly plainer figure, the treble C bout of differing but original wood
Varnish: of a dark amber-brown colour on a dark ground
Length of back: 35.3 cm
Upper bouts: 16.7 cm
Lower bouts: 20.4 cm
