Notes:

"This violin, which has the guarantee of Messrs. W. E. Hill & Son, has been described by the famous firm of violin dealers, from whom it was acquired by its present owner, as one of the finest Testori that has been through their hands. This violin contains its original label, an unusual feature, as this maker's tickets have in many cases been removed, and in a number of instances the ticket of his master, Grancino, substituted."
