Top: of medium to open grain

Scroll: of almost plain wood

Ribs: of wood similar to back

Varnish: Golden-brown

Length of back: 35.6 cm

Upper bouts: 16.5 cm

Middle bouts: 11.2 cm

Lower bouts: 20 cm


Notes:

"Traditionally this instrument has been considered to be the work of Antonio Stradivari. In 1736 when this violin was made, Antonio was in his early 90s. Today, the Doria is widely considered to have been made by Omobono while working in his father's shop."
