Notes:

"A handsome violin of large size probably built on the 'G' form, this Stradivari shows the participation of the son Francesco who had an important role in the workshop by this time. Like violins of its type such as the 'Ames' and 'Habaneck', the soundholes are slightly askew with the treble soundhole set noticeably higher. The back is from foreign-grown maple and the arches are noticeably full to the edges. The head and corner work also express the participation of the talented Francesco."
