Notes:
"A Stradivarius violin, with his label inside, came up for sale at Sotheby's recently. It was formerly the property of Miss Van de Weyer, and was purchased on the advice of M. Ries and Signor Piatti; it is a well known example, and has been played upon by Herr Joachim and Madame Norman Neruda. It realised £600, and was purchased by Mr. Delaine."Observations, The Violin Times, July, 1900, London
