Certificates & Documents
Certificate: W. E. Hill & Sons, London "We have seen a violin by Pamphilon with double purfling and such a close resemblance with Urquhart that it establishes in our minds the fact that Pamphilon must have learnt his trade from Urquhart (or Baker). Urquhart must have been the maker of his time and no doubt he had a number of pupils and followers. This Pamphilon is distinguished from Urquhart by its squarerform and fuller model".
