Maurice Maréchal (1892-1964) was a celebrated French cellist who premiered several important compositions including the cello concertos of Arthur Honegger and Darius Milhaud and the Ravel sonata for violin and cello. This bow was acquired from Maurice Maréchal's children by the current owner.
