Played and owned until recently by one of the principal cellists of Lausanne Chamber Orchestra, who purchased it from the widow of Dmitry Markevitch in 2007.
Back: in two pieces of quarter cut maple with narrow to medium-width, mainly horizontal flame.
Top: in two pieces of spruce with grain of varying widths.
Ribs: and head of similar wood.
Varnish: of a reddish orange-brown color.
Length of back: 76.2 cm
Upper bouts: 34.4 cm
Middle bouts: 23.6 cm
Lower bouts: 44.3 cm
