William Hermann Moennig II
Bow maker / Violin maker
(1905 – 1982)
Building on his family's already-established Philadelphia dealing and making business, William Hermann Moennig II (1905–1982) — his father William Heinrich Moennig I's own pupil — studied violin making under Paul Dörfel and pursued bow making as a separate line of training. A third generation followed through his son, William Moennig III, who carried the firm forward in turn.
