A leading exponent of the 20th-century Naples school, Giovanni Pistucci studied with Vincenzo Postiglione, although little is known about his life and beginnings as a maker.

His fine work is influenced by Postiglione and he produced good copies of Gagliano and other Neopolitan makers, using reproduction labels.
