A leading exponent of the 20th-century Naples school, Giovanni Pistucci studied with Vincenzo Postiglione, although little is known about his life and beginnings as a maker.
His fine work is influenced by Postiglione and he produced good copies of Gagliano and other Neopolitan makers, using reproduction labels. After his death, Bellarosa purchased his tools and workshop equipment.
