Anton (Antal) Schwerer

(c. 1855 – c. 1895)

Anton (Antal) Schwerer was a pupil of W. J. Schunda in Budapest. He established himself independently there starting in 1877. His model, derived from Guarneri, featured short corners and a golden orange-brown varnish. An example illustrated by Benedek included inlaid monograms on the back and a decoratively carved chin on the pegbox.
