Ernst Hermann Petzold was the son and pupil of August Ferdinand Petzold. He worked with Ludwig Glaesel in Leipzig. He established himself independently in Markneukirchen from 1879. He created fine and accurate copies of classical instruments and used spirit and oil varnishes.
