(1825 – 1892)

Son and pupil of Charles François and brother of Charles Adolphe. He became renowned as a violin expert and restorer; instruments bearing his own label are rare. Author of the 1870 'Catalogue descriptif des instruments de Stradivarius et J. Guarnerius'.
