Giovanni & Francesco Grancino
Violin maker
(fl. 1660 – 1670)
Giovanni and Francesco were important figures in the 17th-century Milanese school. Many of the early Grancino work has been assumed to be by Giovanni and Francesco, but there is little definitive evidence of Francesco's role. It is possible that Francesco was a pre-deceased brother of the famous Giovanni, but the connection between Giovanni and Francesco and Giovanni himself remains unclear
