Many of the early Grancino work has been assumed to be by Giovanni and Francesco, but there is little definitive evidence of Francesco's role. It is possible that Francesco was a pre-deceased brother of the famous Giovanni but the connection between Giovanni and Francesco and Giovanni himself remains unclear
