Gennaro De Luccia
Violin maker
(1901 – 1990)
Born on November 5, 1901 in Casigliano. His father, Michele was a maker of plucked instruments. Gennaro made guitars and violins in Casigliano and Mercato Cilento in the province of Salerno. He migrated to America in 1950 to work with his brother Vincenzo in Philadelphia. Later worked for Rembert Wurlitzer in New York in the mid 1950s. In 1958 he opened a violin shop in Miami, Florida in 1958 and died in 1990 in Dade, Florida.
