Dario D'Attili
Violin maker
(1922 – 2004)
Dario D'Attili emigrated to the USA in 1935. He worked for Jargo Petrenela in New York from 1937 to 1938, for Emil Herrmann from 1938 to 1951, and for Rembert Wurlitzer from 1951 to 1974, alongside Simone Sacconi. In 1964, he became the manager of the workshop. He established himself independently in Dumont. His work included classical models, beautifully executed, with fine copies of individual master instruments. He produced around 50 instruments in total and was one of the leading makers and experts of his generation.
