Pietro Zenatto

Violin maker
(c. 1683 – 1714)

Pietro Zenatto authenticated only viols; one example dated 1693 is in the Musical Instruments Museum, Brussels, featuring a cornerless form. He described, without citing sources, violins with a small Amatise outline, full arching, and fine varnish in brown shades; he also mentioned violas, cellos, and basses. These are not currently known.
