Like many makers of the early 19th-century Mantuan school, Giuseppe Dall'Aglio was heavily inspired by the work of Pietro Guarneri, who lived in Mantua from 1680 until 1720. His workmanship is often rough, but individual examples excel in beauty and sound quality.
