Joseph Aubry
Violin maker
(c. 1873 – 1937)
Joseph Aubry apprenticed as a cabinet maker. He began making violins in 1892. He received prizes in Paris in 1921 and in Metz in 1922. In 1926, he moved to Le Havre, first residing on rue A. Briand and later relocating to rue Jules Siegfried. His work was very distinguished, following the styles of Stradivari, Guarneri, and other Italian masters.
