John Rose II


Violin maker
(c. 1560 – 1611)

Son and pupil of the viol maker John Rose I. He may well have been responsible for some instruments attributed to his father. Continued in his father's Bridewell Palace workshop after the elder John's death until 1607. The latest known example of his work is dated 1609.
