Archings are rather high, and varnish ranges from yellowish-orange to brownish-red. Capicchioni chose excellent materials, and his instruments show a particular drama in the wide flaming of the backs and very regular medium-large grain of the tops. Many of the sharper edges of the head are intentionally worn, which gives his instruments a lived-in feel unusual among the work of his contemporaries.
