Reports to: General Manager
Location: 244 W. 54th St, New York, NY (on-site)
Salary: $50,000 – $55,000 per annum commensurate with experience
Full Time, Non Exempt (compensation for occasional evening/weekend hours)
Hours: 10am-6pm Monday-Friday

Job Role

The Client Liaison – Administration and Support is one of the first faces that guests see upon arrival, setting the tone for client experience and serving as a link between Tarisio’s clientele and back office. The ideal candidate is a natural problem solver who can operate enthusiastically in a team environment. Core tasks revolve around client communication, support of the finance department, and front of house responsibilities. The characteristics called upon most in this role are warmth, patience, attentiveness, and a diplomatic mindset. This position is an opportunity for an driven and highly organized individual eager to dive into the world of auction and music.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise between clients and various departments within the auction house including but not limited to communication with finance regarding consignor settlements, buyer invoices, payment preferences, and shipping coordination
  • Organizing incoming client requests via phone or email, handling direct client issues and/or escalating to appropriate departments
  • Front of house duties involve in-person client engagement, welcoming clients, ensuring public space is orderly, guiding clients during their visits, and assisting with viewings during auctions
  • Manage the Cozio Archive, our database of stringed instruments; this includes subscriber outreach supporting membership and billing needs
  • General administrative support for team members and office-wide initiatives: including but not limited to invoicing support, auction sale setup, managing client property pick-ups and drop-offs

 

Candidate Qualifications 

  • Customer service background with strong ethics and willingness to create a positive client experience
  • Systems and tech savvy, ability to use platforms Google Suite, invoicing software, CRM tools, etc.
  • Willingness to operate in a fast-paced environment and maintain composure during peak times
  • Must be responsive, decisive, and able to coordinate multiple requests simultaneously 
  • Personable, solution-oriented, and quickly able to diagnose client situations 
  • Positive teamwork mindset, paired with an ability to work independently

 

Requirements

  • Ability to work in-office five days per week.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent 
  • Must be able to legally work in the United States, OPT Visas not accepted
  • An appreciation of classical music, instruments or the auction industry
  • Past experience in client service and or office administration is a plus
