The instrument is in excellent condition and constructed from exceptionally well-selected materials, featuring a striking one-piece back of highly flamed maple. Built on a Stradivari-inspired model, it reflects a disciplined approach to form combined with a strong sense of elegance.
Audinot was known for his high level of craftsmanship and particular attention to finishing details, qualities that are clearly evident in this example. The violin retains a fine coat of orange-red to reddish-brown varnish, enhancing both its visual appeal and its sense of freshness.
Altogether, this violin presents a compelling combination of workmanship, materials, and condition, standing as a distinguished example of late 19th-century Parisian making.
