This violin was made early in the collaborative career of Joseph Curtin and Gregg Alf, whose partnership would later become widely influential. This violin is a copy of the 1731 'Gibson, Huberman' Guarneri del Gesù and is reminiscent of the 'ex-Ricci' Curtin & Alf violin from 1985.
