Luiz Bellini was an exceptionally talented maker, restorer and copyist of classical instruments. His instruments were revered by the great soloists of his day including Ruggiero Ricci, Pinchas Zukerman, Elmar Oliveira, Yehudi Menuhin and Gidon Kremer.

This violin, an excellent copy of the c. 1730 'Kreisler' Guarneri del Gesù currently in the possession of the Library of Congress, was made in 1983 for American soloist, teacher and concertmaster, David Nadien. The violin was later sold to a student of Nadien who presents it for sale today.
