Matthia Popella

(b. c. 1708)

Matthia Popella created a very fine work on a large Gagliano-like model. It featured long soundholes with fluted lower wings. The varnish was a fine golden-brown with good texture. The head had a Tyrolean appearance, with an extended throat and an extra quarter-turn to the volute.
