Notes:

In the May 15, 1981 Sotheby's catalog, the instrument is listed without reference to the supporting certificates, and the date on the label is listed as "1771" instead of "1773" as in the 1976 Sotheby's catalog. This, along with the low estimate and hammer price, suggests that the certficates listed in the 1976 catalog may have been fakes or were for a different instrument.
