Titled, "Cheap Imitation for Vn Solo."

Composed for solo piano by John Cage in 1969, "Cheap Imitation" was transcribed by Cage for solo violin eight years later. This original manuscript of that transcription is dedicated to Paul Zukofsky "with gratitude and friendship". The piece was premiered by Zukofsky on 4 November 1977 at Wesleyan University and and first recorded in 1979 also by Zukofsky. 14 pages in total.
