A rare violin by Giovanni Francesco Celoniatus attracted interest from both connoisseurs and musicians; a violin by Nicolo Gagliano sold to an accomplished player; violins by Oddone, Ornati, Degani, Bisiach and Tarasconi drew bids from both collectors and musicians and our top lot in the sale by Joseph ‘filius’ Guarneri sold to a violinist from Asia.
