| We invite your applications to the Matching Grant program. Read more and apply here.
Our March 2012 Matching Grant recipient is Yuti Chang. Yuti attends Mannes College, The New School for Music, where he studies with Nina Beilina. Although he was selected for the Match 2012 Grant, program rules allow recipients to briefly delay using the funds to ensure the right selection. “I had to postpone the opportunity to match a quality bow to my Ceruti violin until now, but I can say it was worth the wait.” For the time being, Yuti is focused on completing the fourth year of his Bachelor’s degree and plans to graduate at the conclusion of the semester. About the Matching Grant In the current economic climate it is harder than ever for young musicians to afford fine instruments and bows. To help these players, Tarisio will award up to $10,000 (£6,000) of matching funds to one winning applicant for each Tarisio auction of fine instruments and bows. Currently there are four fine auctions per year, two in London (March and October) and two in New York (April and October). To apply you must be currently enrolled in or have graduated from a music performance degree program, and be under the age of 30 as of the application deadline.
