We invite your applications to the Matching Grant program. Read more and apply here.

Tarisio is proud to announce the April 2012 Matching Grant Recipient, Brûsk Zanganeh. Brûsk is a promising violinist with an impressive resumè of international experience that includes a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Arts in Gothenburg, Sweden, a Masters in Chamber Music at Edsberg at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, Sweden, and finally his Solistendiplomat Zurich University of Arts, Switzerland.

“I think the Tarisio Matching Grant is a great opportunity for students to afford a good instrument,” says Brusk. “I recently had to return a violin on loan and without the Grant, I don’t know what I would have done. This was perfect.”

Brûsk plans to create a chamber music or piano-trio ensemble, and teach in his native city of Dohuk, in the Iraqi Kurdistan.  Tarisio wishes him the best of luck with his career and looks forward to his future success.

About the Matching Grant

In the current economic climate it is harder than ever for young musicians to afford fine instruments and bows. To help these players, Tarisio will award up to $10,000 (£6,000) of matching funds to one winning applicant for each Tarisio auction of fine instruments and bows. Currently there are four fine auctions per year, two in London (March and October) and two in New York (April and October).

To apply you must be currently enrolled in or have graduated from a music performance degree program, and be under the age of 30 as of the application deadline.
