This special auction featured nearly 200 lots from the collection of the late Maestro Isaac Stern. Signed photographs of Pablo Casals, Kreisler, Rubinstein, etc. Many photographs of concert memorabilia, historical letters and documents, and musical artifacts from Mr. Stern's long and distinguished career. Mr. Stern’s Tourte, Voirin, Pajeot, Maline, and Sartory bows, his Hamburg Steinway, two bench copies of the Panette and Ysaye del Gesu’s by New York maker Samuel Zygmuntowicz and Mr. Stern’s J. B. Vuillaume Panette copy violin. Also featured were a Bisiach, a Tononi, a Cappa, a Nicola Bergonzi, and the ex-Kubelik Stradivari of 1687.
