Labeled, "Omobonus Stradivarius filius Antonii, Cremona, 1740..."

The scroll, of the same period and school, possibly not the original. Modern expertise believes the violin to date possibly as early as 1700-10. Likely built on the Stradivari B form dating from 1692, the violin retains its original linings and blocks.
