Back: Two-piece of medium curl descending slightly from the joint

Top: of fine grain

Scroll: Carved shield in place of scroll

Ribs: of wood similar to back

Varnish: Golden-brown

Length of back: 26.7 cm

Upper bouts: 12.7 cm

Lower bouts: 15.2 cm


Notes:

A 1/4-size violin. Peg-box terminates in a shield instead of the usual scroll.
