Born in Markneukirchen in 1989, apprenticed to Heinrich Todt 1912-1915. Worked for A.K. Huttl as head of the varnishing department in Graslitz. Moved to USA in 1929. Worked for Voigt & Co and later established his own shop in NYC in 1937.
