William Moennig III


Violin maker
(b. 1930)

Maker, restorer and connoisseur. Son of William Moennig II, he trained in Mittenwald and Mirecourt; later apprenticed to Vidoudez in Geneva and Max Moller in Amsterdam. Took over the family business in 1975 and was a founder member of the American Federation of Violin and Bow Makers.
