Dominique Poirson "Justin"

Bow maker
(1851 – 1925)

Poirson trained in Paris with Nicolas Maire, then worked for Vuillaume. After Vuillaume's death in 1975 he joined the Gand & Bernadel firm, then established himself independently in 1879. He used a Voirin-inspired model. Although his production varies in quality, some good bows exist, particularly from his early career.
